First let me introduce ourselves. We are Bartley and Jennifer Smith, expats from the states and we would like to welcome you and your family to both our restaurant and the town of Akumal. Both my wife and I are lucky enough to live and work down here in what many believe to be a very special place.

We have owned and operated Turtle Bay Cafe & Bakery for six years and have enjoyed every moment we have had since our move here. Some people call our restaurant, “The Bakery” but we are much more than that. While we offer a huge selection of fresh baked goods each morning we also offer many great options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We use the freshest ingredients available and always strive to keep our service as good as our food. We are family friendly and with all the available options we offer, everybody can find something that pleases his or her appetite. If you just want come in and chill with an espresso or smoothy and check your email that’s no problem we are a “one size fits all” type of place. Just try to relax and enjoy your time here.
